Zaynab Aden is a certified culinary nutritionist and birth/postpartum doula whose practice focuses on food as medicine and the connection between women’s and children’s health. After years of community organizing, she realized that caring for the most vulnerable in our communities in a holistic way would be the best way to leverage her expertise as a connector and an organizer. She seeks to empower families to access optimum care in birth and postpartum as well as using food as the primary source of medicine and as a return to traditional cultural values. She currently resides in Northern, VA with her husband and four children.
