Maria Clementina is a Mexican woman that grew up in a little town where ancestral medicine was common. Postpartum care was a traditional practice named Cuarentena. This practice was a mystery that amazed her, and since then maternity has been one of her passions.
She became a nurse at a very young age in Mexico, and worked in three different hospitals, mainly in the maternity area.
She came to the US 23 years ago, her son was born two years later and she realized how difficult it was to have a baby without support,
and without all that traditional care that she missed when she left her country.
After that experience Maria decided to become a doula, and has been supporting moms for 10 years now. In 2018 she became an INNATE Postpartum Care Practitioner.
She is happy to support moms that, like her, don’t have or miss the community that knows how to care for them.
