I first became a mother through adoption and then a mother of two through a surprise (didn’t think it was possible) pregnancy. My postpartum experience was one of the toughest things I’ve ever been through. With a degree in psychology and a masters in education, I’ve always been curious to know the ‘how and why’ behind things. Rachelle’s class taught me the many ways our modern culture can improve how we care for new mothers. As a classroom teacher since 2004, I feel called to teach the INNATE Community Education Series to others in my community because we can and must do better in supporting new mothers and families.
